Arts-Trail-150x100Explore Bathurst's art scene with painters, potters, glass artists, sculptors, printmakers and more showcasing their talents in town and the surrounding villages.  The Trail operates on the first weekend of each and every month with the artists on hand to talk with the visitors about their work.

Bathurst Regional Art GalleryOpening Times: Tuesday -Saturday: 10:00am - 5:00pm,  Sunday and Public Holidays: 11.00am - 2.00pm,  Mondays open by appointment. Closed: Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The gallery has guided tours, children's activities, public programmes and is wheelchair friendly.

Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) is one of the oldest regional galleries in NSW. It is a well equipped and professionally staffed facility owned and operated by Bathurst Regional Council. Home to one of the finest collection of Lloyd Rees artworks in regional NSW.

BRAG's exhibition program features a diverse range of touring exhibitions, Local Artist Project Shows, exhibitions created from the permanent collection and the work of Hill End Artists. The design of the gallery allows programming of three to four exhibitions at a time, with an exhibition changeover every six weeks. With an average of 25 exhibitions per year, there is always plenty of new material for our visitors.

Entry is free.

Reg Campbell Gallery PDF Print E-mail

reg_campbellReg Campbell (1923 - 2008) was a prolific painter, particularly of prominent figures like Don Bradman, Albert Namatjira, Ben Chifley and Sir Garfield Barwick.

Besides portraits, Reg is also famous for his floral and landscape paintings.  At age 75 he won the “Camberwell” gold medal for “Giant African Marigolds”.

Born in Gladesville, in the early sixties he moved to Kirkconnell to establish his studio-gallery.  Many of his paintings hang in Bathurst’s civic buildings, as well as in Oberon and Central western towns.  He was also a regular tutor at Charles Sturt University’s Summer and Winter Art Schools.

Reg also painted the celebrities of the day, such as Bob Dyer, and broadcaster John Laws.

Time:  Monday, Wednesday & Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm
           Part of the Bathurst Arts Trail - open 1st weekend of the month.
           Other times by appointment.
Cost:  Adult and Concession $15.00, Child 16 and under free.
