Opening Time:  Currently Chifley Dam is open for all water activities, and monitoring is undertaken on a regular basis.  The public recreation area nearest the dam wall including the main boat ram will be closed and locked at 9.00pm during daylight savings and at 6.00pm during winter, and will re-open at 7.30am each morning  The area adjacent to the cabins will remain open.

Chifley Dam is located a leisurely three hour drive over the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.

It's the perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway or a fantastic fun holiday for the family.

Enjoy a wide variety of watersports - including skiing, sailing, power boating, canoeing and a safe swimming beach for the little ones. 

Regularly stocked with native species the dam is a fabulous location to drop a line.  A Recreational Fishing Fee applies to all freshwater fishing (exemptions apply).
